WAYS TO GIVE

MORE WAYS TO SUPPORT URBAN HEALTH….

Corporate or Group Volunteer Days: Sweat equity translates into a nurturing environment for our program participants. Companies and organizations can host a day of volunteer services at our agency. Whether it’s painting, planting, or just plain fun, we have a project that will help your organization to make a significant impact on our program participants.

Speakers: Motivational speakers and business professionals interested in sharing their stories or providing career path information are always needed to help those seeking direction chart a path for lifelong success.

Recreation: Enjoy the opportunity to teach or lead fitness, crafts, music, drama, or other enrichment activities. Help us connect individuals with interest that they find meaningful and exciting to do in their leisure hours.

Mentors: Mentors ages 21 and over can help our college student housing participants at this pivotal juncture in their lives. A six-month commitment is required, but will result in a lifetime of promise for students living away from home who need stability and encouragement.

Holiday Gifts: Your help is needed to provide gifts, as well as to organize and wrap presents during November and December.

Fundraising: If you have a knack for raising funds or have community connections you’d like to share, we welcome your support!

Apprenticeship: If you have a business or have a particular talent that you would like to teach to some of our program participants, such as photography, culinary arts, computer skills, sports, or other- we welcome you to share your talent to teach others.

Special Events Committee: each year we host three main fundraising events: a White Party, Gala Holiday Dinner and Holi (Festival of Colors) Event. Volunteers help to ensure that these events increase awareness of our mission, while raising critical needed funds.
